Job Title: Tax Senior
Reports to: Tax Partner and Tax Manager
Job Summary: The Tax Senior participates in and leads staff on tax engagements. The Tax Senior will prepare US corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns.
Salary Range and Benefits: Commensurate with experience, standard firm benefits
Hours Required: 40 hrs
FLSA Status: Exempt

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Prepare federal and state corporation, partnership and individual tax returns.
  • Prepare international informational tax returns.
  • Assist with tax provision preparation.
  • Assist with tax planning and tax consulting projects.
  • Assist with tax research memo for clients with analysis and application of IRC sections and regulations.
  • Represent client in front of the IRS, including assisting in IRS and state tax audits.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • 2 - 4 years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
  • Solid accounting skills.
  • Good understanding of federal & state income taxes.

Education and Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field AND a Master’s degree in accounting.
  • Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Actively working toward CPA certification, if not already obtained.
