Major Responsibilities & Duties

  • Become oriented with Firm’s practices, policies, and culture
  • Be familiar with Firm’s procedures, forms, audit software and online research tools
  • Continue to work towards advancing knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and other relevant professional standards; keep current on professional pronouncements (i.e., FASB/ASC pronouncements)
  • Become proficient at auditing financial statements for clients from different industries
  • Become familiar with the processes of small-to-medium-size Chinese entities IPO in the US
  • Assume responsibility for various areas of multiple audits under supervision
  • Timely communication with all members of engagement team and appropriate client personnel
  • Accurately document in English the execution of specific review and audit procedures performed in audit workpapers
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements & Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical, organization, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Work well under pressure and with a team; able to meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Ability to learn processes quickly and be able to apply to jobs
  • Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
  • Flexibility and openness to work on a variety of assignments; able to multi-task
  • Dedicated to superior client service
  • 0 - 3 years of recent work experience as an auditor at a public accounting firm
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic business, technology, and audit principles/standards
  • Basic technology skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word

Education and Licenses:

  • BS or MS in Accounting from an accredited college or university worldwide
  • Actively working toward AICPA certification, if not already obtained
